Look at your actual week: sleep, study, travel, food, movement, company and uncommitted time. Choose one area that has been squeezed out. Change one part at a time instead of rebuilding your entire life.

Protect one source of stability

Choose a regular waking time, a free evening, a meal or time with someone close. Reduce optional commitments so self-care has room.

Balance changes

Exam periods may temporarily change your routine. Plan how you will return to it. If overload is constant, discuss options with your academic office, someone you trust or a counsellor.

One thing to try today

  1. Rate the main areas of your life from 0 to 10
  2. Choose one area that needs attention
  3. Try a 15–30 minute action three times this week
  4. Review the effect without expecting perfection
